AOCR’s High-Powered Multi-Syllable Word Practice: More Advanced Learning For Spanish-speaking English Language Learners
These AOCR sentences are designed to give students lots of exposure to more complex multi-syllable words. As they encounter these words online, they can mouse-click on (or touchscreen) words that they need help with. This will break the words into their syllables and sound-out every letter in the word, and after a number of clicks on each word, the word will finally be stated as a whole. As we progress from set to set (each set will be approximately 200 sentences), the multi-syllable words that are encountered will be less and less frequently seen in general texts, so this will also be an excellent vocabulary builder!
